Personality: After having had his power stripped from him for his abhorrent behavior in his previous guild by the headmaster Mako was cast aside and left to rot with the street urchins. He quickly was taught the error of his ways and vowed to value life more than he used to. Though he would eventally reacquire his magical capabilities, and be more powerful than he was the first time he would not have entirely learned his lesson, using his mental prowess to gain dominance in the world. Despite this he is still quite confident in himself and his abilities both inside and outside of combat. Outside of combat he is charming and displays all the qualities of a great leader, including intelligence and strategy. However, sometimes he can be too arrogant and believes he cannot be beaten or is superior to his younger brother, Kenshin, though Kenshin always manages to put him back in his place. He is always the first to talk and has a weakness for beautiful women, though he is oblivious to the thought of a relationship as he is too conceited. He will nonetheless flirt at any opportunity. Also when Mako's typically calm demeanor is cracked he can be abrasive and blunt. Mako also suffers from hubris believing he is far more intelligent than anyone else until proven wrong, though would never accept anyone as greater.
As the leader of Crime Sorciere his influence as a Guild Master is shrouded in mystery, often posing as an S rank member for many meetings.
In combat his strategic and intelligent demeanor shines through and he maintains a high level of focus at all times, rarely missing an opponents weakness or failing to cover a blind spot. He hates losing, more than anything else, and considers any fight that was relatively close a loss in his book as he prefers to have a clear advantage on his opponents. However, again, sometimes his confidence gets the better of him. This doesn't happen while Kenshin is around because Mako's determination to protect Kenshin overrides his foolish pride.While in combat Mako has been compared to a great general, using feints and smoke and mirror tactics to help him overcome obstacles as opposed to brute strength. His cunning is his greatest weapon, often successfully out thinking his opponent and coming out the victor despite having magic that is not a combat magic.
Likes: Mako loves luxury and all things that fall in that category, delicious food, beautiful women, comfortable beds and warm baths. He also has a draw and lust for power that is hard to control. He also must believes that at all times he is the smartest person in the room. His brilliance being his greatest strength but also giving him a misguided sense of Hubris.
Dislikes: Mako dislikes defeat more than anything else, having tasted humility he want to avoid it again. He also dislikes people who share similar qualities as himself. He also has a weakness for strong controlling women even though he dislikes them. Dislikes people who are smarter than him, though even if he met one he would never admit to it.
Motivations:
Guildmaster of Information: In times of peace the guild serves as an information brokering, and Mako wants to know everything that occurs in every corner of the world.
Become a King of Legend: He wishes to be recognized as one of the greatest Nuetral mages in existence, if not the greatest
Spread Compassion: As a result of his magic removal he wants to make the world a more compassionate and loving place by his own random acts of kindness
Fears: His fears include commitment, because dedicating his life to anything other than strength is a wasted life. He fears dying having accomplished nothing, and has an irrational fear for anything dragonic.
